Founded in 2005 by Don and Bridget Brewster, Agape International Missions (AIM) is a Christian nonprofit organization that rescues survivors of sex trafficking, provides restoration homes for healing, and equips communities to prevent exploitation in Southeast Asia and Central America.

In Jesus’ Name and in Jesus’ Way

Seeking to glorify God in everything, we ask for His guidance in prayer, follow where he leads, and live out His commands. (Proverbs 3:5-6; Matthew 6:33, 10:38-39)

Agape Love

We love selflessly, as Jesus loves, without expectation or limit. (Luke 10:27; John 13:34, 15:5; 1 Corinthians 13:1-8, 13)

Humility

We serve one another with Jesus as our example, we respect each other, we grow together, and we value each other deeply. (Proverbs 17:27, 22:4; Matthew 20:26-28; Mark 9:35)

Perseverance

We can do all things through Christ, and we advance the mission with the strength that comes from being firmly rooted in His love and hope. (Romans 5:3-5; Galatians 6:9; Philippians 1:6, 4:12-13)

Grateful and Hopeful

We look back in gratitude at God’s goodness and provision, and His faithfulness leads us to look forward with hope in all things. (Psalm 136; Isaiah 40:28-31; Lamentations 3:21-25)

Integrity

We do and say what is right, giving our best in all contexts and with all people. (2 Kings 12:15; Proverbs 12:18-20, 24, 13:4, 15:19; Matthew 5:37)

Yes to the One

Following the example of Jesus, we don’t turn away a person asking for help, and we are ready to come alongside those in need. (Matthew 5:42, 25:31-46)

Don and Bridget Brewster

Don Brewster, Founder of Agape International Missions, anti-trafficking pioneer in Southeast Asia

In 2003, Don and Bridget Brewster embarked on a life-changing mission trip to Southeast Asia. They had no idea this journey would spark a movement that would rescue thousands of lives and forever transform the fight against the evil of sex trafficking.

This initial mission trip ignited a profound conviction in the hearts of Don and Bridget. After returning home and watching a 2005 NBC Dateline investigation into child trafficking in Southeast Asia, they knew they had to act. In 2005, they said “yes” to God’s calling and left behind their home, careers, and families to found Agape International Missions (AIM).

It began with a single church, but the Brewsters quickly realized more was needed to meet the needs of young girls being rescued from sex trafficking. With the support of a compassionate community of donors and partners, AIM built its first Restoration Home – a sanctuary for survivors to heal and rebuild their lives. Yet Don and Bridget’s vision didn’t stop there. As new challenges emerged, they expanded AIM’s impact by developing responsive solutions: creating reintegration programs for survivors, partnering with local law enforcement to form a SWAT team, building schools to protect at-risk children, and so much more.

Two decades later, AIM remains steadfast in rescuing, healing, and transforming lives and living out the fearless, devoted example set by Don and Bridget. In 2024, Don entered into eternity with Jesus. Though his absence is unmistakably felt, Don’s legacy lives on through Bridget, AIM, and the countless lives forever changed thanks to their humble “yes” 20 years ago.

Statement of Faith

AIM serves to glorify God through Jesus Christ.

The greatest need for all human kind is forgiveness and salvation through Jesus Christ. He is the way, the truth and the life.

Jesus has compassion for people, addressing their deepest spiritual need (for Him as savior and shepherd), while also addressing physical needs. He sought all people, even the outcast and especially the sinner to be his own, changing their lives for all eternity.

The greatest command is to love God, and to love others as ourselves, just as Jesus loves us.

It is by the power of the Holy Spirit dwelling in believers, that AIM carries out its work.

The Church is the body of Christ with Him as head. The church proclaims the Gospel for spiritual and personal transformation. It is through the Church that God cares for the disadvantaged and exploited.

The Bible is the inspired Word of God and serves to guide all aspects of the Christian life.

It is by prayer that we discern the will of God. Through prayer we seek guidance in ministry and provision for ministry. God desires that we ask, and will provide according to His will more than we can ask and imagine.

All resources belong to God and come from God. He will supply from his unlimited resources all we need to carry out His work.
